Course Description
This course is a weight lifting and fitness class. The goal of this class is to introduce weight lifting as a method of fitness for life, to increase each student’s knowledge of weight training, to teach each student proper weight-room safety and weight-lifting techniques, to expose each student to different training methods. It is also designed to improve strength, prevent injuries, and learn the benefits of weight training for a lifetime of fitness.

Teaching Methods
This class will be taught through demonstration, lecture, and student experimentation.
Assessment
- Student participation, which includes physical effort, mental effort, and proper dress.
- Quizzes and Practical Exams testing kids on knowledge of equipment, safety, identifying lifts, and muscle groups.
